In order to accomplish our mission, The Century Council continuously develops initiatives to reach out to different audiences, from middle school youth to adults.
We concentrate our efforts in the following areas:
- reducing drunk driving through research, the development of effective strategies, tactics and programs, and promoting state and federal legislation designed to encourage swift identification, certain punishment, and effective treatment of drunk driving offenders.
- educating middle school through college students, their parents, teachers, and adult caregivers about the importance of making responsible decisions regarding beverage alcohol and the dangers of underage drinking.
- stopping underage drinking through research, passage of anti-underage drinking laws, support for enforcement of underage drinking laws and development of innovative programs to reduce underage drinking.
Several of our initiatives have been recognized with various prestigious awards.
